SEM solved my dilemma of having NEW wired-in alarms falsely sounding around 40 times over many days. I had them removed and the new SEM alarms have been silent since installation. Thanks to Doug and his team I learned that battery operated alarms can be interconnected across two levels. The fellow who installed them pointed out that the original units had been placed too close to ceiling fans and ventilation fans which would have rendered them useless in detecting smoke that had been blown or sucked away. A very happy customer!
